Energy is an indispensable resource in upholding and propelling human civilization forward. Our journey from the industrial revolution to the current state of modernity has been underpinned by fossil fuels. However, the climate crisis has made continued fossil fuel usage unsustainable, and global efforts has been made to develop renewables like solar, wind, and geothermal energy. Yet, the intermittent nature and uneven distribution of these sources pose challenges in addressing the climate crisis solely through renewables. Hence, the significance of clean energy technologies, such as hydrogen, ammonia, e-fuels, and nuclear power, has ascended. In this conference centered around clean energy, life cycle assessment, and carbon capture and utilization, we seek to foster an unreserved and comprehensive dialogue. Our aim is not only to evaluate current technological advances but also to delve into the pivotal obstacles inherent in each technology, in an effort to gain insights leading humanity towards a sustainable future.
